YOG to get a belly-full of her

MS AKIKO Sueoka Nadia won the Asia Global Belly Dancing Competition (solo) prize on Sunday.

The Japanese permanent resident, who has practised belly dancing for four years, scored a performing spot at the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in August and won $500 in cash and prizes.

The competition also saw belly-dance quintet Mystic Charm win the group contest. They will also perform at the YOG.

The contests were part of the 9th Singapore Street Festival, which drew 250,000 people.
