The depression feels like a black curtain of despair coming down over their lives. Teenage years are always a troubling time, with the numerous physical, emotional, psychological and social changes that come with this stage of life.
About four out of 100 adolescents get critically depressed each year. It is complicated to understand, when teenagers go through depression. As they grow, they try to discover who they are and what they believe in. He or she may be depressed if they face any of the next signs of depression for more than 2-3 weeks.

1. Denial: “This can’t be happening to me.”
2. Anger: “Why is this happening? Who is to blame?”
3. Bargaining: “Make this not happen, and in return I will ____.”
4. Depression: “I’m too sad to do anything.”
5. Acceptance: “I’m at peace with what has happened.”

The most available treatment is antidepressant medication. Antidepressant drugs are effective in the acute treatment of depression. They are not ”happy pills” they don’t artificially bring on blissfulness or unrealistic well-being. It works by slowing the breakdown of neurochemicals and raising the sensitivity of receptors on the receiving neurons.
Wellbutrin (Bupropion) is an antidepressant used to treat depression. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

PHOTO: Somewhere Under the Rainbow
There is the idea in life that “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” there is a paradise that is the anti-thesis of the profound emptiness of sorrow, grief, despair and depression.
I learned that there is really no way that I could carry life's load.
God said, "Take my yoke upon you, it is soul rest that you need."
"My Yoke is easy and my burden is light, all you need to do is receive."
