PHOTO: Desaru Fruit Farm, reminiscent view of our early childhood and kampong days. The environment is full of fresh & green with animals chattering peacefully. Otherwise is a very quiet atmosphere and simple life.
I still have many recollections of the past experiences when walking and living with the fauna and flora.

PHOTO: Breadfruit trees and a hint of fine clear weather ahead. Huge lovely green above and the bright blue sky beyond. This is one kind of present which we have took for granted. Now is the time, now is the moment, to appreciate the beauty and inner peace that nature can offer.

PHOTO: Artocarpus altilis or breadfruit tree is from broad tree up to 20 m high with leaves 30-50 cm long that are thick, leathery and lobed. The greenish seedless fruits are round, mealy and about 20-25 cm in diameter. They are cooked or baked and used in the same way as potatoes. Abundant on Silhouette but rarely used as food at the present.

Papayas may be very helpful for the prevention of atherosclerosis and diabetic heart disease. Papayas are an excellent source of vitamin C as well as a good source of vitamin E and vitamin A (through their concentration of pro-vitamin A carotenoid phytonutrients), three very powerful antioxidants.
